Artax

Artax consists of Lars Bergvall, born in a small town in mid Sweden 1981... Musical interest started with guitar-playing,which proved to be not that successful. Instead, the electronic music quickly became interesting. Probably, I always knew about my weakness towards it, being that I'm born in the 80's! The decade of synthetic clothes, food and, of course, music sure must have made a harder impression on me during my infint years then I was willing to confess during my death-worship-heavy-metal-years...

Anyway, I started to listen to more synth-music, such as Pouppeé Fabrikk, DAF, Front 242 and of course Kraftwerk. Using PC-sequencer Cakewalk 7, Proppellerheads ReBirth and a Roland D20 synthesizer, I started doing some body/electronica/ambient-tracks around 1997 and I released some home-made demos and shit under the Deutsch-NAZI-Gay-Sturm-sounding alias 'Plutonium 239'. Oh, I had almost forgotten it...

After moving into the Logic Bomb studio in 1999 (if you've heard of Artax before, you probably know that my brother use to be a part of Logic Bomb), the interest rose towards the trance-music pretty soon. My brother, of course, had taken me to some partys and so, and pretty soon I tried to make some trance-tracks... After a while the track 'Pointdexter' was produced. It was included on the compilation 'Psionic Realms' on label Digital Psionics.
